Complete refurbishment of Tusimice II power plant
As reported by the magazine “All for Power” in 2009, CEZ project “Complete Refurbishment of Tusimice II Power Plant”, managed by general contractor SKODA PRAHA Invest, s.r.o., includes streamlined power production through BAT technology in line with the national NOx and SO2 emission reduction program. The process will decrease caloric power of future fuel and increase fuel ash content. The reconstruction included new desulphurization equipment by Austrian Energy & Environment AG. The existing lime and gypsum management equipment had reached the end of its service life. The refurbishment carried out by KLEMENT a.s. will prolong its life to match the projected service life of the power plant and desulphurization equipment (2035).
